Creativity + Movement: Exploring Art & Movement to Renew the Soul

Open your creative pathways through creative practices of journal & jewelry making, free flowing movement, meditation, writing and nature in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. Immerse yourself in the present moment through a walking meditation at the labyrinth, sitting in sacred circle with other like minded women, and plenty of quiet/contemplative time for self.  

This retreat is a heart calling for women seeking and needing a break from their everyday responsibilities, for those in transition, and everyone in between. Refresh the mind, body and spirit through led practices and self exploration. Uncover and rekindle your inner artist! We invite you to relax, find and reconnect to joy and your inner spark.  Meet others of like mind, and awaken the Spirit within.

What the Retreat Includes: 

• Most art supplies included; focus will be on easy-to-learn techniques.  Leave with your own one-of-a-kind earrings and a junk journal using mostly recycled materials. 
• Yoga and open movement; free flowing and restorative practices will be shared.
• Mindfulness and creative journaling prompts for writing.
• Plenty of free time to dream, rest, walk the beautiful grounds, or creative time.
• Includes 3 nights lodging and all meals,
• Single or double occupancy room.

What to bring: 

• Layered clothing (it can still be warm during the day and chilly at night; we suggest you bring layers of clothes)
• Yoga mat
• Tennis shoes and/or hiking boots
• A journal

No art or yoga experience necessary.  

About the Facilitators

A non refundable $100 deposit holds your space in the circle.

Please choose friends and family option when sending deposit or paying in full.

Single occupancy:  $475, ($375 after deposit made)

Double occupancy: $400, ($300 after deposit made)

Commuter:  $250,  ($150 after deposit made)

Deposit is due upon registration.  Final payment is due September 10, 2023.  

The retreat is being held at Hinton Rural Life Center, Hayesville North Carolina. The center is located in the Appalachian Mountains on Lake Chatuge. Hinton is an 8-hour drive from CLE and is 2-2.5 hours from ATL, Greenville, Asheville and Chattanooga. You may choose to fly into any of the aforementioned airports and rent a car and drive to Hinton.  

A minimum of 8 people is required to hold this retreat.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We suggest travel insurance. 

For cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the retreat start date, any payments made may either be transferred to a friend or family member, within 7 days of your cancellation email.

For cancellations made 90 days or less prior to the retreat start date, any payments made may be transferred to a friend or family member, otherwise all payments will be forfeited and you should contact your travel insurance company for reimbursements. 

MPP Wellness LLC/Maria Perme, cannot refund any payments for any reason (COVID, injury, illness, death). We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

In the rare event of a cancellation by MPP Wellness, LLC due to low registrations, the participant will be given a full refund, minus the deposit.   MPP Wellness LLC,  cannot compensate participants for airfare, hotel and travel costs incurred.
